Definitions of terms used in the 1xBet app and betting industry.

Betting Terms

Accumulator (Parlay)

A single bet combining multiple selections. All selections must win for the bet to pay out. Higher risk, higher potential reward.

Bankroll

The total amount of money you have set aside for betting.

Bet Slip

The virtual ticket where you add selections and place bets.

Cash Out

Option to settle a bet before the event ends, taking a guaranteed return based on current odds.

Double Chance

Bet type covering two outcomes (e.g., home win or draw). Lower odds but higher chance of winning.

Each Way

Two bets in one: one for winning, one for placing (finishing in top positions).

Fixed Odds

Odds that remain the same from when you place the bet until settlement.

Handicap

Virtual advantage/disadvantage given to a team to level the playing field. Also called "spread" or "line".

In-Play (Live Betting)

Betting on events that are currently happening, with odds updating in real-time.

Multiples

Bets containing more than one selection (accumulators, trebles, etc.).

Odds

The ratio showing potential payout. Can be displayed as decimal (1.85), fractional (17/20), or American (-118).

Over/Under (Totals)

Bet on whether a statistic (goals, points) will be above or below a set number.

Pre-Match

Bets placed before an event starts, as opposed to live/in-play betting.

Push

When a bet results in a tie with the spread/line, and stake is returned.

Single

A bet on one selection only.

Stake

The amount of money placed on a bet.

Value Bet

A bet where the odds are better than the actual probability of the outcome.

Void

A cancelled bet where stake is returned. Happens when events are postponed or rules invalidate the bet.

Casino Terms

House Edge

The mathematical advantage the casino has over players, expressed as a percentage.

Jackpot

The top prize in a game, often progressive (grows until won).

Live Casino

Real-time casino games with live dealers streamed via video.

Multiplier

A factor that increases winnings (e.g., 2x multiplier doubles your win).

Payline

A line on a slot machine where matching symbols must land to win.

Progressive Jackpot

A jackpot that increases each time the game is played until someone wins.

RNG (Random Number Generator)

Algorithm ensuring game outcomes are random and fair.

RTP (Return to Player)

Percentage of wagered money a game returns to players over time. 96% RTP means €96 returned per €100 wagered on average.

Slot

Casino game with spinning reels and symbol combinations.

Volatility (Variance)

How often and how much a game pays. High volatility = rare but larger wins. Low volatility = frequent but smaller wins.

Wager

The amount bet on a game or the act of betting.

Wild Symbol

A slot symbol that substitutes for other symbols to create winning combinations.

Account Terms

2FA (Two-Factor Authentication)

Extra security requiring two forms of verification to log in.

AML (Anti-Money Laundering)

Regulations preventing illegal money from passing through betting platforms.

Balance

The total funds available in your account for betting.

Bonus Balance

Promotional funds that usually have wagering requirements before withdrawal.

Deposit

Adding funds to your betting account.

KYC (Know Your Customer)

Identity verification process required by regulations.

Locked Funds

Money temporarily unavailable, usually due to pending bets or bonus conditions.

Self-Exclusion

Voluntarily blocking yourself from gambling for a set period.

Verification

Process of confirming your identity with documents.

Wagering Requirements

Number of times bonus must be bet before it becomes withdrawable (e.g., 5x means bet €500 for a €100 bonus).

Withdrawal

Taking funds out of your betting account to your bank/wallet.

Technical Terms

API

Application Programming Interface — how different software components communicate.

APK

Android Package Kit — the file format for Android apps.

Cache

Temporary storage of data for faster loading.

Checksum

A value used to verify file integrity hasn't been corrupted or tampered with.

Encryption

Converting data into code to prevent unauthorized access.

HTTPS

Secure version of HTTP protocol, encrypting data between browser/app and server.

JWT (JSON Web Token)

Secure method of transmitting information between parties as a JSON object.

SSL/TLS

Security protocols that encrypt internet connections.

WebSocket

Technology enabling real-time, two-way communication between app and server.
